Well we have broken the 100 day mark and before we know it we’ll be on our way to Oshkosh!
Over the next 3 months we will be sending out regular e-mails covering travel reminders, tips for your trip and latest news updates. If you have any questions please fire away, we would like to share the answers with the group!

Travel Reminders
Passport and Visas – make sure your passport is valid for travel dates and has blank pages. If it’s expiring soon after your trip, be safe and renew it, you have to do that sometime time in any case. Check your US visa and ensure it’s valid for travel dates. If it’s valid and in an expired passport, that’s OK – remember to travel with both passports.
And you guys lucky enough to only need an ESTA visa, apply timeously, if it’s denied (it has happened) allow yourself enough time to apply for a normal B1/B2 US Visa.
Alpha Tour passengers – you’ll have time to explore Istanbul courtesy of Turkish Airlines, you do need a visa but the good news is it’s an on-line application, immediate and it’s free. Click below to apply, it’s valid for 6 months so you can do it anytime from now!

Tips for your trip
On arrival in Chicago you’ll most likely find the weather hot and humid. Most of us will be travelling from a very much colder Southern Hemisphere. Pack some cool summer clothes in your carry-on luggage and change along the way – you’ll be glad you did!

We also have compiled a suggested packing list for the trip. You don’t have to take everything on the list, it’s more of a memory jogger than a check list. And if you do forget something, there are good shops in Oshkosh. Click below to download the list

Oshkosh Attractions – The Oshkosh AirVenture Museum
Situated on the airfield you will find Pioneer Airfield, a nostalgic grass runway with vintage hangars. Also situated here is the EAA headquarters and the AirVenture Museum. This is a must visit, your AirVenture wristband gets you free access. A good time to visit is the first Sunday before the show starts or early Monday before the crowds arrive. The museum also houses many unique one of a kind aircraft.
