Wilbur and Orville Wright complete their experiments in control of aircraft. They finish flying their 1902 Wright Glider and return to Dayton OH to build the 1903 Wright Flyer.

The Wright Flyer became the world’s first successful heavier than air powered aircraft. These photos of Wilbur and Orville flying that day show their wing warping to control roll and the rudder to control yaw.
These are the first photos of a heavier than air aircraft in coordinated turning flight.
